The lifespan of natural leather products is increased enormously by regular cleaning and care. The saying "less is more" applies exactly here.
Regularly oiling or creaming your leather products increases their lifespan. You will be reminded the next time it rains if you forget to do this.
A soft cloth or even a brush are great for oiling. The process can be repeated if the leather is very dry.
